Backhoe Support

Pacific Tug has over the past 50 years built a reputation for highly tailored support services for dredging projects. Pacific Tug are market leaders in the supply of tugs workboats and Multicats for the relocation of spoil barges and positioning of backhoe dredges on site. After initial mobilisation, in field support is often continued through use of the mobilisation tugs, thus delivering economical project rates. Our experience on major projects is vast and covers major port developments works such as: Woodside, Gorgon, NCIG, Gladstone Gas Port expansion, Wheatstone and Web Dock Expansion Melbourne for projects of recent years. Our team is available to work with clients on proposed tenders for development of work method statements and cost of works.

Crew Transfer Vessels

Pacific Tug Maintains a number of Crew Transfer Vessels for in field support on dredging and construction projects. Our Crew transfer vessels are configured for 20+ passengers and have purpose built crew transfer positions suited for both stationary and dynamic crew transfers. Additionally our vessels are well suited for survey, supporting Moon Pools and stabilised power supplies. The vessels are also equipped for environmental monitoring and servicing of environmental monitoring equipment.

TRAILER SUCTION HOPPER DREDGE

Trailer Suction Hopper Dredge (TSHD) support is part of the dredge support offered by Pacific Tug. Support is offered for discharge positioning of the trailer, either rainbow discharge or pumping ashore. Fuel, stores and water supply have been completed for tailers when pumping ashore. Trailer support is focused on improving cycle times and loads through JIT Bunker and stores supply.

CUTTER SUCTION DREDGE SUPPORT

Cutter Suction Dredge Support (CSD) represents another area of strength and economic service for Pacific Tug. Our vessels have supported cutter operations on various dredging site and offer an economical alternative to a traditional Multicat. In addition Pacific Tug have experienced multicat crews who have proven themselves in support of DI / Bechtel on Wheatstone LNG field. The Coastal Challenger was operated for 2 years proving efficient and effective in support of both cutter and backhoe operations.
