The ocean going tug P.T. Monto is 31.1 meters in length is running 2 Cummins KTA50 engines and has a certified bollard pull of 40 tonne.

She is an effective international and coastal towing vessel with good fuel capacity (and consumption) and an unrestricted navigation area.

She is fitted with high lift rudders and the non fo’c’sle deck allows a freeboard that is sensible when working with barges and equipment in towing alongside or pushing operations.

The vessel has a towing hook with 40 tonne capacity, a towing winch, capstan, tugger winch, stern roller, hydraulic shark jaws & pins, deck capacity of 1 x 20’ container and accommodation for 14 persons.

The P.T. Monto has successfully completed many international and coastal tows including a tandem tow from Brisbane to Tuvalu and a tandem tow from Brisbane to Vanuatu.
